Fun For All

[Akumizzu] So I have recently completed the fun filled game of Viva Pinata. Some see this game as a kid's game, in a way it is, but it is still very fun. This game has hours of play, and you don't run out of stuff to do. The goal of it is to attract different species of pinata's to your garden, every species has certain requirements for it to become a resident.

GRAW 2...Soon

With the exception of Halo 3 and Guitar Hero II (360 version) there are few games I actually look forward to. GRAW 2 is one of them. The game ships next week with more co-op missons than the first installment, which makes me, and most of the people I game with happy. Both campaign and multiplayer demos are available on Live Marketplace. The latest issue of OXM (April 07) also has the demo. Another thing the disc contain is GRAW Chapter 2, an expansion for the first game that contains more multiplayer maps and co-op missions. This is good for people who do not have the expansion, I of course shelled out the 600 points for it, granted it is not as bad as people who shelled out the full 1,200 for it when it first became available. It is also possible to unlock exclusive GRAW 2 gamer pics when the disc is "cleared".

Go HERE for more info about the game, screenshots, trailers etc.

See you on Live

Vegas

[Akumizzu] So I finally picked up Rainbow 6: Vegas, I have been told to get this game since i first got my 360 a few months ago, and I have to say this game is great. I think the first missions before you arrive in Vegas, aren't really anything special. I have not done any live with this game yet, i will hopefully be doing that soon. I have made a custom face, which was a free plink right there. Getting the face mapping to work can be kind of tricky but it should work eventually. Make sure the room in use has really good lighting. I think this game is worth its money completely.
[Laneit] You are one of the many people that I convinced to get this game. Locsmyth, Chaosfactor37 as well as Rrags. Many more should get this game. Again co-op is huge in this game, both campaign and what is called "Terrorist Hunt" just hunting and killing. Good stuff. Another cool feature is the face mapping (as Akumizzu stated). Most people think the Vision Cam is kind of dumb, I agree, but it definitely has its cool points like this. Hopefully more games take advantage of this feature. Perhaps GRAW 2?

*Plink*

[Laneit] We all love the sound and now Microsoft is actually going to give us something for it. There is a contest that starts on February 12th that rewards people for doing what they love to do. Go HERE to visit the official rules and whatnot. I myself am a "Level 3", which is good and bad. The bad thing is that one of the games I was going to use to get the 1,500 points was going to be Fusion Frenzy 2, which is a prize if I complete the challenge, so I may go for some of the "first run" games. Examples would be any of the 2006 sports games, Easy Plinks, then there is King Kong, basically any game that has linear achievements. I still must complete Tomb Raider and Tony Hawk American Wasteland. Hopefully this contest will launch many more like it. I like free stuff, hell who doesn't.

[Akumizzu] I agree, granted achievements may have ruined video games for me I still can't get over them. Now that there is free stuff involved for getting achievements I am an even bigger fan. As of right now I am only "Level 1", so I have lots of room to get upgrades and whatnot. For me this may be a big challenge due to my lack of money and games, within the next few weeks i plan to pick up Gun, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Rainbow 6: Vegas. Hopefully i can get all these games within a month and pick up the 1500 points needed for free shit.

Don't forget to register and get free things.

Co-op

I picked up Gears the day before the PS3 launch. Locsmyth and myself have since gone through and completed the story on Hardcore and Insane Co-op over Xbox Live. More games need to have Co-op over Live. Now I have been playing games co-op with Locsmyth for sometime now, basically since Halo and Halo 2, but that was all on one system. Live is so much better.
Since I have gotten my 360, aside from Gears, I have played Co-op in Perfect Dark Zero, G.R.A.W., Rainbow Six: Las Vegas and The Outfit. Mostly with Locsmyth, but a few with Chaosfactor37 as well.
Co-op story mode is by far my favorite, G.R.A.W. for example has co-op but the campaign is a different story, much shorter. Granted they added more story with Chapter 2 available from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Co-op campaign that is the same story, but you have help from others is cool, especially in this day and age with achievements. Plinks are the topic for another day.
How do you feel about co-op?
